My father is not bound to the canvas alone. During his time at Aarhus Theatre and as a student of Sven Dalsgård, he developed a strong urge to build things in three dimensions. This is where the expression truly becomes offbeat and alluring. The installation art is raw and tactile – you can see the materials, the cut-out shapes, and the solid craftsmanship. I love this part of his art because it is the ultimate insistence on creating something that does not just hang flat and neatly on the wall, but physically reaches out into the room.
