This is "Red Dream". An original abstract painting by my father, Aage Arbjerg, that truly lets colors and darkness collide.
The piece is painted with acrylic on a solid masonite board, which gives the surface a very special, raw, and resilient texture. The motif is built up of heavy, black and deep blue lines that create an abstract and almost labyrinthine pattern. Breaking through the darkness, glowing, vibrant red and dusty green color fields emerge with an explosive primal force. It is a striking statement piece with immense visual weight that refuses to be quiet and neat. An uncompromising work that creates instant edge and character in your home.
Dimensions:
Height: 80 cm
Width: 60 cm
Comes unframed.
Good to know about this original work This is a unique, handmade piece of art. So that you know exactly what you are investing in, it is important for me to clarify the following before you add the work to your cart:
Colors and the digital representation The image showing the painting alone without a background is a true and unedited photograph of the actual work you are buying. However, remember that you are viewing it via a screen. Since there is a big difference in color rendering, resolution, and brightness from screen to screen, the colors and shades of the physical painting may differ slightly from what you see digitally.
Inspiration and proportions I have created the environmental images, where the painting hangs in a furnished room, using AI to give you inspiration as to how it might look in a home. These images are purely illustrative, and the proportions do not necessarily reflect the true size of the painting 100%. You will always find the precise measurements right above in the description.
The living craft This is not a machine-produced commodity. It is an original painting executed on masonite. This means that you will be able to see clear brushstrokes, texture in the acrylic paint, and perhaps some unevenness at the edge of the board or a little paint on the back. These are not flaws, but the very proof of the living and unpolished craft.
Copyright When you buy this painting, you are buying the physical work to hang in your home. The copyright and rights to the motif itself remain with the artist and Arbjerg Nordic. I therefore reserve the right to be able to sell the motif as posters or prints in the future.
If you change your mind Should the work unexpectedly not fit into your home, you naturally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. As this is fragile unique art, you are responsible for the return shipping, and it is your responsibility that the painting is packed securely and returns to me undamaged.
